Get In Touch

Social media is a weird intrusive concept which many people thrive upon. Obviously I also have a strange desire to be validated by the internet because I've made this whole scrap-blog online. I have no idea why anyone would want to contact me through this blog, but people seem to put these pages on their websites so I suppose they must be used...

If you want to drop me a line, please do. I usually respond - unless you're a weirdo. Then it's quite likely you'll simply be ignored.

Thanks, darlinks. Thanks.

As mentioned above, I'm not a massively interactive social media bunny. I find the whole keeping-on-top-of-it-all a bit overwhelming so to combat that, I 'm not very active.. I'm lucky in the respect I have a pretty healthy relationship with Instagram and Facebook — I don't let it suck me down.

• A Word of Advice •

  • People post their good stuff online because not much good stuff happens on a daily basis and it's nice to say 'hey! I'm winning at this!' Let people bask. Join in with their joy and try to be happy for them. Yes, it means liking their snaps of paradise and wealth but if we can't support one another, then what the actual fuck. Be nice.

  • There will be posts that feel like people are rubbing your nose in your own stinking pile of deep shit, but they're really not trying to do that. See the first point.  Good stuff doesn't happen often — let people brag, show off and flaunt. As long as they're not dicks about it. If that's the case, you are entitled to destroy them.

  • If you don't want to know — it's easy...just unfollow.

  • Don't feel bitter about other's success. It's worth remembering you, in turn, will always be someone else's success story — even if you don't know what that story may be.

  • Use what you see to inspire rather than erode.

  • Do not engage with the trolls. They will leave you angry!

  • Do not troll. It's a shitty thing to do and people are fragile.

  • Give yourself just ten minutes to catch up on personal social media a day. That's it! It's all you need. It really is junk for the soul.
